We are happy to remind you of our Regional Mindfulness Retreat in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
Skyline Camp and Retreat Center
5650 Sandhill Road
Almont, Michigan 48003
Oct 3-5, 2014
We will gather together Friday evening, having had dinner elsewhere, and begin practice at 7:30 PM. We will enjoy sitting and walking meditation, noble silence, mindful meals, yoga, and other activities.
Skyline Camp and Retreat Center is located in the southeast corner of Lapeer County, a short one hour drive from Port Huron and Metro Detroit. Focus Hall, our facility for the retreat, was built in 1993 and has comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, a lounge area, and a large meeting room with serving kitchen. There are walking trails, woods, a labyrinth, a pond and a beautiful view from the highest elevation in Lapeer County.
The food will be potluck, with everyone encouraged to bring a vegetarian contribution for one dinner, one breakfast and something for the snack table.
The cost is just $75.00 payable in advance. Checks or money orders payable to “Regional Retreats” may be sent to Sam Ewalt, 50 Mack Ave, Lot 44, Marysville, Michigan, 48040. As of Aug 27 we have close to forty people registered in advance for the retreat. Please join us if you can.
Camping is also available for a cost of $20 for the weekend.
We have 64 beds available in 14 rooms, so we will have to share rooms. We will do our best to accommodate roommate preferences. Please let us know whom you would like to room with, if you snore, or if there are other considerations for us to keep in mind.
If you are not able to pay the entire amount in advance you may send a deposit of $25 to reserve a place at the retreat.
Please email Sam Ewalt, firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions.
